The main gear used in Kayaking is your boat, a paddle, a cag, a buoyancy aid, a helmet, a spray deck,  a wetsuit and booties.

All of the gear you will ever need to paddle is provided by us free of charge. The only thing you’ll need to bring with yourself to our sessions are a pair of swimming togs, a swimming hat (for our pool sessions) a towel and a pair of old shoes (for the Friday river Session). Good humour and enthusiasm are also encouraged!

However if you are looking to develop your skills as a paddler good gear can be of great benefit to you. It can, however, be very costly so it is wise to shop around and talk to active/ older members of the club. They will be able to steer you in the right direction in terms of the best value for money and which gear is best suited to you as each paddler is different.
